English as a Second Language (ESL)

At Garlough Environmental Magnet School, English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers collaborate with classroom teachers to teach district curriculum supported by second language acquisition strategies. Grade level content is made comprehensible using sheltered instruction and scaffolding techniques to meet individual students’ language needs and learning styles. ESL teachers provide support in reading, language arts, science, math and intervention time.

I grew up in and currently still live in St. Paul, MN. In my free time I enjoy staying active by playing sports, exercising, and camping/hiking.
